Amber Balakian grew up on the farm located in Reedley about 200 miles to the east of us and often  frequented markets with her parent and grandparents. She graduated from USSD with a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Harvard University with a Masters in Business Management. Amber is the fourth generation farmer and creator of the Organic Blended Heirloom Tomatoes. When Amber is not farming, she teaches entrepreneurship at Fresno City College and developing new food products for the farm. For fun she likes to travel, go to the beach and watch movies with friends and spend time with family.

The Wed. evening Cotati Farmer’s Market is observing the distancing and follows the protocol for the Covid 19 indicator. Since July 20 the California Department of Public Health announced that the positive and hospitalization rates are trending upward.

A total of 33 counties are required to close indoor operations for certain sectors on the July 13 order to slow community transmission. When visiting the Cotati Farmer’s Market, please wear face coverings and keep the six foot distancing at all times.
