One-on-one tutors wanted

Volunteer as Schools of Hope tutor for as little as a half-hour a week. Schools of Hope is an early intervention program for children who are struggling with reading by focusing on one-to-one tutoring during school hours. Training provided. Call 707-528-4485, ext. 103.

Share your hobbies with kids

CalSERVES COOL School is an after-school program focused on providing a safe and inclusive learning environment across six Santa Rosa elementary schools. They need presenters to share hobbies, careers or interests with students and need high school students to help with homework and recess activities. Dates, hours and sites flexible. Testers, restorers needed

ReStore of Sonoma County needs volunteers to test and clean donated fixtures and appliances; price and stock donations and provide customer service. Orientations are 10-11 a.m. Mondays and 4-5 p.m. Thursdays. Call 707-495-8060.

Build homes for the homeless

Homes 4 the Homeless nonprofit rents tiny container homes that help the homeless transition to self-sufficiency. They seek volunteers with experience in outreach, grant writing, marketing, skilled labor; legal assistance, construction, fabricators, procurement and more. Call 707-234-8022.

Work the front desk

The Volunteer Center of Sonoma County needs people to work at the front desk, provide customer service, welcome members and the public, answer phones, schedule appointments and help with special projects 1-5 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays.
