Lend a hand delivering meals

Petaluma Peoples Services Center is looking for volunteer professionals to lead 30-minute workshops for job seekers in the SonomaWORKS program. They also need volunteers to help prepare and package meals to be delivered in their Meals on Wheels Program and their Senior Cafe. Contact Eece or Anita at 707-765-8488.

 

Serve food to at-risk women

Women are needed at The Living Room to serve a hot breakfast and lunch to homeless and at-risk women and children. Servers prep the service area, serve the meals and clean up. Food safety certificate required. Current needs are at 8-10:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Thursdays. Contact Katie Phillips at 707-579-0138.

 

Share your hobbies with kids

CalSERVES COOL School is an after-school program focused on providing a safe and inclusive learning environment across six Santa Rosa elementary school. They need presenters to share hobbies, careers or interests with students and need high school students to help with homework and recess activities, Dates, house and sites are flexible. Be an advocate for youths

Adult volunteer advocates help support youth in practicing leadership skills and completing community service projects in Sonoma County year-round. Must pass a probation background process. Flexible schedule, training provided. Contact Cesar Basilio at 707-573-3360.

 

Drive people to appointments

Volunteer Wheels needs friendly drivers over 21 with a clean driving record to help people get to appointments. Vehicle, gas, insurance and training is provided; flexible four-hour shifts are available. Call 707-573-3399.
