Lend a hand at gala for animals

The Paws for Love Foundation needs help with its 21st annual fundraising gala Feb. 8. The Santa Rosa non-profit provides funding to shelters, rescue groups and individuals caring for abused and abandoned pets in the North Bay and beyond. Proceeds benefit homeless and abandoned pets. The event needs poster hangers, food servers, cashiers and auction assistants, among others. Learn more and sign up Jan. 4 10 to 11 a.m. at Santa Rosa’s Finley Community Center. Become a senior peer counselor

West County Community Services is looking for volunteers to become senior peer counselors. A 35-hour training gives you the tools to assist fellow seniors countywide to manage the stresses of aging with better emotional balance. Training and supervision are provided in Santa Rosa. The next training begins Jan. 22. 707-823-1640

 

Emergency coordinator needed

Integrative Healers Action Network provides acute and long-term care to communities affected by emergency situations. They want a knowledgeable, adaptable site coordinator to work with American Red Cross Disaster Sites and provide integrative medicine trauma care. Supervise kids at Snow Days

Help children explore, build, create and play in 50 tons of snow Jan. 18-20. Volunteers will supervise children at play, answer questions, manage the toboggan runs (includes bending, squatting, shoveling snow) and more. Morning or afternoon shifts available, lunch/snacks provided. Email abby@cmosc.org.
