Share the library love this month

February 19, 2021

It’s National Library Lovers Month and Sonoma County Library wants to know what you love about your library! Share your favorite library photo on Instagram with the hashtag #SCLLOVE. It could be a photo of you and your family at the library, a new book you just checked out, or a creative drawing or artwork! You can also email news@sonomalibrary.org with what you love about the library.

Since love is in the air this month, library staff is reflecting on their fondness for patrons and their support of the Sonoma County Public Library Foundation, a non-profit that provides funding to ensure equitable access to Sonoma County Library services.

These new additions are possible thanks to support from the foundation (and your donations):

• The Kids Spanish Digital Collection

• hoopla access for Student One cardholders

• Martin Luther King displays

• 100 new Chromebooks for check out

• Expanding WIFI outside physical branches

• And so much more!

Sonoma County Public Library Foundation Board President Sara Ortiz said “We are lucky to have the breadth of digital and physical materials, enthusiastic librarians and engaging programming that Sonoma County Library offers. With curbside pickup and online library tools, a good book is never far away.” Ortiz continued, “At the Sonoma County Public Library Foundation, we show our love for the library by working closely with library staff to fund needs.”
