Adult Programs

Master Gardeners: Fire Safe Landscaping. Sat., Nov. 3, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Fire Safe Landscaping with Master Gardener Dennis Przybycien. Hispanic Heritage: Mexican History in an Hour. Wed., Nov. 7, 6 - 7 p.m. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we present this informative and interesting seminar covering the historical highlights of our neighbor to the south in an easily digestible manner. You will gain insight into the country with whom we share a 2,000-mile border. Tech Classes/Clases de Technología: Google Drive. Wed., Nov. 7, 4 - 5:30 p.m. Learn about “the cloud” and how to save your work there. A Google account allows access to a variety of free programs including Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides as well as free cloud storage. Children’s and Teen Programs

Fitness Fun with My Gym (ages 1-4). Thurs., Nov. 8, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. My Gym is at the library! Join us for a fun mini-My Gym class with movement, dances, playtime, obstacle course, games and more. Space is limited to 20 participants, please register online. ​ Writing Club for Kids (Ages 9 and up). Thurs., Nov. 8, 4 - 5 p.m. For aspiring young authors who enjoy creating and writing their own stories. Led by local published author, Jennifer Lynn Alvarez, author of the Guardian Herd Series. Kids Can Cook 2! (ages 8-12). Sat., Nov. 10, 10 - 11 a.m. Ceres Community Project comes again to teach the kinds of food that keeps us healthy and energized. Join in the fun while making a nourishing smoothie and a delicious salad. Space is limited, please register online. Teen Virtual Lounge (ages 14-18). Tues., Nov. 6, 3 - 5 p.m. Drop-in/sign-up for sessions with the VR headset. Hang out and watch your friends play games projected onto a large monitor. Snacks and music provided. 14 years and older welcome. IMPORTANT NOTE: A signed personal waiver form is required. Ages 14–17, please have the waiver form signed by a parent or guardian. Weekly Storytimes—Preschool Storytimes (ages 3-6) Fri. at 10:30 a.m. Toddler Storytimes (ages 18 months-3 years), Tues. at 10:30 a.m. Babytimes (ages 0-18 months), Thurs. at 10:30 a.m. Homework Help on Tuesdays, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Homework assistance is provided for grades K-12.
