The Rohnert Park All-Stars 12/70 Blue team has been battling it out for a chance at the Cal Ripken World Series. They are currently in Bakersfield competing in the Regional tournament, and the winner of the tournament will be going to the Cal Ripken World Series.

The Rohnert Park All-Stars 12/70 Blue team are three-time State Champions and have made history for Rohnert Park Cal Ripken. They will continue to fight for the chance to keep playing.

Rohnert Park 12/70 Blue team competed in their first pool play game on Monday, July 19, against the Central team from Fresno and won the game 14-1. For Head Coach Erik Tucker and the boys, it was a fun and exciting game.

Tucker comments on how well his pitcher, Legends Haile, did in the game. He threw all four innings of the game, and the game ended early in four innings because the Rohnert Park team run-ruled the Fresno team, scoring fourteen runs.

Fourteen runs speak for itself that the boys were on fire as far as on the offensive side of the plate. Tucker mentions some shining moments that contributed to the win. Matai’ Fa’agata hit two home runs in the game and Roman Torres hit a home run. Marshall Lemons was aggressive at the plate, going two for two with two doubles.

If the boys keep playing as they have, they will shine throughout the rest of the tournament. Their next pool play games will be on Tuesday, July 20, against a team from Arizona, and Thursday, July 22, against a team from Hawaii in the Bakersfield tournament.

All games in the Bakersfield tournament are played at the Northwest Bakersfield Baseball Complex. The top six teams from pool play will then head into single elimination in the Regionals tournament.

Even though the games are not local, Rohnert Park will be cheering on the boys as they continue to compete and work hard. Let’s wish the Rohnert Park All-Stars Blue 12/70 team good luck as they fight for the win to make way to the Cal Ripken World Series in Missouri.
