More than 350 courses in over 90 disciplines offered; summer grants available for undergraduate students registering for six or more undergraduate credits.
Registration is open for Rochester Institute of Technology’s four summer sessions, where more than 350 courses in over 90 disciplines will be offered. Undergraduate and graduate students can take advantage of two five-week sessions (May 26-June 30 and July 1-Aug. 10) and a 10-week session (May 26-Aug. 10). Graduate students can also enroll in a targeted seven-week session (May 26-July 14). At this time, RIT has moved to an online format for at least the 10-week summer session and the first five-week session. Updates will be provided as needed.
In addition, matriculated undergraduate students are eligible for the RIT Summer Grant when they register for six or more undergraduate credits this summer. Students registering for six to eight undergraduate credits will receive a grant of up to $2,000 for the summer semester; students registering for nine to 11 undergraduate credits will receive a grant of up to $3,500 for the summer semester; and students registering for 12 or more undergraduate credits will receive a grant of up to $5,000 for the summer semester. Students registered through RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf will also be eligible for partial summer grants. Students are eligible for only one financial award.
RIT’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships will apply the grants, which are in addition to any other need-based eligibility the students may have, as a credit toward summer semester bills.
Popular courses available this summer include Principles of Advertising, Positive Psychology, Cybersecurity Policy and Law, The Mechanics of Programming, Game Development and Algorithm Problem Solving, and Project Management, among others. These are in addition to the always-popular physics, communication, chemistry, writing, and calculus courses. Course offerings are still being added.
The complete list of course offerings is available on the RIT Summer Semester 2021webpage.
