In response to this unprecedented heat wave, the Rohnert Park Community Center Multi-Use Room (5401 Snyder Lane) will open as a socially distant cooling center from 12- 6 p.m. on extremely hot days.

The city will be adhering to guidelines set forth by the CDC and Ca. Department of Public Health for the opening of cooling centers. All users of the facility will be required to participate in a verbal health screening by answering COVID-related questions and will have their temperature checked with a no-touch thermometer prior to entry. All users will be required to sign-in for contact tracing purposes if needed. Facial coverings will be required at all times when indoors. No food or drink will be allowed inside the facility. Restrooms will be single use only.

The facility will be set up so that users will be distanced from those who are not members of their same household. The facility will be closed once all of the social distancing squares are full on a first-come, first-served basis. For questions, you can call (707) 588-3452.
