History-1964 Elections

Election officers for the Rohnert Park precinct June 7 election have been named by the Sonoma County Election Board. Presiding at the polls which will be located, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., in the garage of the Willard Wicklund home, 74 Allan Ave. will be Mrs. Eugene Chaon, inspector; Mrs. Jack McCormick, assistant inspector; Mrs. Clayton Jewel, judge; Mrs.Jack Curtin, judge; Mrs. Lloyd Pidgeon, clerk; Mrs. William Menzies, clerk and Warren Welton, clerk.

George Adamson, Mrs. Richard Krieg and Mrs. Wicklund were originally named to the board but withdrew due to conflicting commitments. They were replaced by Mrs. Chaon, Mrs. McCermick and Mrs. Menzies.

Various members of the Rohnert Park Men’s Club and other interested Park residents have been working the past week on the baseball field in the park area.

It has been announced that the field has been leveled and disced and that the men will be working there again this week-end.

An open board meeting of the Rohnert Park Women’s Association will be held Wednesday, beginning at 8:30 p.m. at the Alden Ave. home of Mrs. Jack Smuck. 

The revised by-laws will be presented by Mrs. Curtin, parliamentarian and will be discussed by the group.

Recent new  move-ins to the park include Mr. and Mrs. Milo L. Bell of 7292 Adrian Dr., Mr. and Mrs. Delane Patton, 270 Alden Ave., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Valentini, 284 Alden Ave., Mr. and Mrs. Edson Davis, 315 Alden Ave. and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Keith of 182 Alden Ave.

The Rev. Harvey E. Robinson, Mrs Robinson and their family have moved from their home at 196 Alden Ave. to 202 Adele Ave. Preparing to move into the former Robinson home are new owners, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Cole and their two daughters, who now reside on Allan Ave.
