Green Music Center announces Summer at the Green 2021

July 9, 2021

The Green Music Center at Sonoma State University announced the return of Summer at the Green for 2021, its eighth season of summer programming, and first since Summer 2019. This summer season features a star-studded lineup including Tower of Power, Boz Scaggs, The Beach Boys, and Neon Trees as well as the return of the popular Bluegrass Day, which features The Del McCoury Band, Watkins Family Hour (led by Sean and Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek fame), and local favorites Fog Holler.

This summer will also include a collaboration with the Santa Rosa Symphony for Jurassic Park – In Concert. Concert-goers will see the original film on the silver screen in all of its glory, while the 80-musician orchestra provides the iconic musical backdrop live on the Weill Hall stage.

In addition to concerts in Weill Hall + Lawn, this summer includes five nights of Movies at the Green featuring a collection of classic movies as well as recent box office hits like Toy Story 4, Onward, Coco, and more shown on the big screen on Weill Lawn.

Green Music Center Executive Director Jacob Yarrow reflects, “We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Green to celebrate the return of performances. Summer at the Green 2021 will be an unforgettable time of rediscovery as we welcome audiences to experience the joy of live music and movies. Our team will be implementing procedures that follow current public health guidance and performing arts industry standards to create events that are fun, healthy, and safe.”
