Generation Housing presents The Future of Housing:

September 18, 2020

Candidate Forum series | 2020 Elections Day is weeks away and with the ballots set, Generation Housing is excited to announce our first ever Candidate Forum Series of 2020! Co-hosted with the Wine Country Young Democrats, the series will consist of six nonpartisan forums featuring city council candidates from various regions of Sonoma County.

Candidates will have an opportunity to share their views, ideas, and proposals on a range of housing issues ranging from housing production, zoning, land-use, homelessness, COVID-19 recovery efforts, racial justice, and much more.

We encourage the public to join us online to hear from their local city council candidates on how they intend to improve our community’s housing affordability. Please visit our website to learn more about the forums and be sure to register.

Most forums will run nightly at 7 p.m. beginning on Tues., September 22. The last event in the series featuring Santa Rosa will be back-to-back on Monday, September 28 in which District 1 candidates will participate from 6–7 p.m. and District 5 and 7 candidates will participate from 7– 8 p.m.

Event Schedule:

● Tues Sept 22  Petaluma

● Thursday Sept 24  Windsor

● Monday Sept 28  Santa Rosa

The event is hosted by Generation Housing, an independent nonprofit advocacy organization focused on increasing the supply, diversity, and affordability of housing in Sonoma County. Visit Generation Housing’s website to register at
