Food for Thought to hold drive-thru food drive at Santa Rosa Plaza

September 11, 2020

Food for Thought will be holding a drive-thru food drive Thurs., Sept. 17 at Santa Rosa Plaza! At the corner of Second St. and B St. from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. When ordering or shopping for their own weekly groceries, FFT would greatly appreciate it if shoppers could include any or all of the following items: Hearty soup, canned tuna and olive oil. The food items can be dropped off to the Food for Thought team on the day of the event in the parking lot of Santa Rosa Plaza (please, no items with expired dates). Donations will be made from the safety of people’s own vehicles.

Food for Thought is a nonprofit organization that provides healing food and nutrition to more than 1,000 Sonoma County residents living with a range of serious illnesses, who are at risk of malnutrition. Comprehensive nutrition services include healthy groceries (enough for 21 meals per week), prepared meals, nutrition counseling and hands-on healthy cooking classes. Food for Thought’s nutrition services increase the health of clients, reduce food insecurity, decrease costs to the healthcare system and improve the lives of hundreds of individuals living in Sonoma County.
