Cotati's Dog of the Month for May

May 1, 2020

Wally is a thirteen year old Border Collie mix who looks great for his age. His humans obviously take great care of him.

Wally shared with us; I will never forget that wonderful day my humans brought me home and how they told me I was rescued, but really I knew I had rescued them.

Wally's favorite quote is "I don't mind cats, from a distance."

Wally is currently busy taking care of his humans during the shelter-in-place order.

Wally is registered with the Cotati Police Department. Because of the dog license he wears on his collar, if he gets separated from his home or humans he can quickly be returned and avoid an expensive and traumatizing trip to the animal shelter.

If you are a Cotati resident the police department wants you to register your dog with us (it is also the law). Cotati residents who are 55 and older get one free dog license!

To register your dog go to and register your dog online; or contact Community Services Officer Carrie Peoples at or 707-665-3615

If you want your dog to be considered the Cotati's Dog of the Month contact Carrie Peoples.
