Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified names Chief Business Official

June 11, 2021

John Bartolome has been selected as Chief Business Official (CBO) for the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District (CRPUSD). He will join the district July 1, 2021, replacing current CBO Robert Marical, who is retiring.

Mr. Bartolome comes to the district from San Rafael (CA) City Schools, where he’s served as Director of Fiscal Services since 2017. He previously served as CBO for the Sonoma Valley Unified School District and has 27 years of experience in finance and accounting.

CRPUSD Superintendent Dr. Mayra Perez said, “Robert Marical has provided devoted, ethical and steady financial leadership for our district, and he will be missed. John Bartolome brings so many of the same qualities to the district and we look forward to his help advancing our educational program, while ensuring resources are available to meet our goals.”

Mr. Bartolome earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in Indiana. He earned a Chief Business Official certification from the California Association of School Business Officials, requiring 440 hours of continuing education units.

He said, “I am very much looking forward to joining Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified and getting acquainted with the team - both in the district office and in the schools – and the community. I look forward to being a resource for ways to enhance the delivery of programs and support services while ensuring compliance and transparency.”
