Commercial structure fire

September 10, 2021

The Santa Rosa Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire with smoke showing at 3230 Coffee Ln., which is a Seventy-Six gas station.  The first arriving unit arrived in under two minutes and found a storage shed on fire with fire extending up the exterior wall on the gas station.   Additional resources were requested to assist with fire attack and to make sure the fire didn’t extend into the main building.

Firefighters stretched hoses for fire attack as black smoke could be seen throughout the area. Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire on both the storage shed and exterior of the gas station while interior crews made sure the main building and attic was clear.  Firefighters also secured the area as live powerlines that came down due to the fire.  PG&E arrived shortly after and secured the power.

The contents of the main business did not sustain interior damage, however the storage shed sustained significant damage which contained store goods.  It took firefighters approximately 20 minutes to contain the fire and conduct overhaul.

The fire was electrical in nature and continues to be investigated by the Santa Rosa Fire Department.  Investigators remain on scene and will be working to secure the building with property owners.  Damage is estimated to be $50,000.

Three engines, one truck, one Chief Officer and one Fire Investigator assisted with no injuries.
