COVID-19 Disaster Relief Assistance for immigrants now available

May 29, 2020

Having started May 18, the California Human Development (CHD) will begin connecting undocumented individuals in Sonoma County to disaster relief assistance. Qualifying undocumented adult individuals will be eligible to receive $500 in direct assistance, with a maximum of $1000 in assistance per household. It is anticipated that the funding will reach approximately 3,500 eligible individuals in Sonoma County.

This one-time funding is available through State’s Disaster Relief Funds available in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency and the CDH is the nonprofit organization that was selected by the California Department of Social Services to assist with Northern California  counties.

Due to a high number of calls and a large number of people accessing the website, there may be delays in completing the application process.
