The Sonoma, Napa, and Marin County Bicycle Coalitions will host a virtual evening of bicycle advocacy and Select Shorts from the Bicycle Film Festival
For twenty years the Bicycle Film Festival (BFF) has brought a host of high quality, cutting edge films, music and art to cities and towns across the globe. The pandemic-inspired virtual format offers an opportunity to reach a wider, more diverse audience and bring a variety of cycling communities together that may have not otherwise found a common ground.
This virtual event will include highlights of the important work being done by the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, Marin County Bicycle Coalition and Napa County Bicycle Coalition. A ninety-minute compilation of Bicycle Film Festival Select Short Films will follow their bicycle advocacy presentations.
Select Shorts appeal to a wide audience from film connoisseurs to avid cyclists and everything in between. Let the BFF curated collection of select shorts take you on a journey around the world as we learn about a charismatic Ghanian immigrant in Amsterdam who teaches refugee adult women to ride bikes – experience a birds-eye view of a BLM bicycle protest ride from New York to DC - feel the anguish of a father's loss – the struggle of a young woman and her bike in Iran - and a reprieve from genocide through cycle sport. BFF Select Shorts never fail to uplift and inspire.
Tickets are now on sale and BFF - North Bay will begin streaming on December 10, 2020 at 6 p.m. A portion of ticket sales will benefit each host organization.
