The Petaluma Salvation Army has been busy working in conjunction with SA corps around Sonoma county as well as the Petaluma Kiwanis Club in providing meals for the Kincade fire evacuees staying at the Petaluma Veterans Memorial Hall on Petaluma Blvd. South.

The evacuation center is housing approximately two hundred evacuees.

As well as providing meals the SA has supplied two hundred cots food, blanket and toiletries to a number of evacuation centers and the Petaluma Elks. The Elks are again operating as the cafeteria for Calvary church as Calvary is housing some one hundred and sixty evacuees. Businesses are stepping up with donations such as the air masks donated by Friedman Brothers Home Improvement and Quality Printing Services that the Salvation Army then distributes where they are needed.
