City of RP Updates

New places to visit in Rohnert Park
February 7, 2020

The city and University District developer are continuing the reconstruction of Keiser Avenue. We’re projecting opening the Keiser between Snyder Lane and Petaluma Hill Rd. by the end of the year. We anticipate opening Kerry Road and Keiser Avenue (between Kerry Rd. and Petaluma Hill Rd.) late summer of 2020.

Adega Luxury Apartments, often referred to as Five Creeks Apartments (behind Costco), is almost ready to open its doors. The complex features one to three-bedroom floor plans with a variety of amenities. Its close proximity to Costco could be considered a bonus for the bulk shopper-nista.

It’s music to our ears that Alembic Custom Guitars will be opening their doors on Classic Ct. The makers of quality instruments have been building basses, guitars, preamps and accessories since 1969. With that history, we’re excited they’re making Rohnert Park home.

We’ve all heard the buzz (pun intended) that the craft whiskey business is growing. Our friends at Sonoma Distillery are a perfect reflection of that growth. Their cup has runneth over, and they are adding a storage building to their distillery and tasting room on State Farm Dr. They invite you to partake in a tour and tastings of their facility. Additional buzzing news, Parliament Brewery on Labath Ave. will be hosting food truck events one day each week. No word as of yet on the details.

Bella Creek apartment project (Avram House) located at 100 Avram Ave. is pending dry weather to proceed with construction. The 90-unit project will include environmentally friendly amenities like electric vehicle charging stations, energy efficient building design, solar panels and other carbon-footprint conscious features.

Vinoma Tortas Argentinas, a new restaurant that specializes in Argentine and American originals, is soon to call Rohnert Park home (across the street from Krispy Kreme). Keep an eye out for the new, healthy and unique cuisine option opening soon.

Clearwater at Sonoma Hills Senior living community is doing some heavy lifting and moving furniture in. They’re scheduled to open early in 2020. The assisted living and memory care community located at 710 Rohnert Park Expressway promises to provide an “engaging lifestyle” to its residents. The facility promotes an empowered living philosophy; a living that offers diverse programs, amenities and events to help residents lead balanced lifestyles.

The 100-room Fairfield Inn & Suites project, behind Ashley Furniture, is moving quickly. When complete, the hotel will be constructed of 60 modules yielding 4-stories. The modular construction is a bonus for developers – a more economical and expedient choice to traditional building methods.

I hope that you will enjoy the new amenities Rohnert Park has or will soon be offering. Supporting our local businesses helps ensure that our community continues to thrive. It might be your neighbor or friend that owns, operates, or is employed by a local business. Supporting our local businesses, means supporting our local economy and community. Stay tuned for other development news at it unfolds in 2020.
