Library is closed for Thanksgiving

All branches close Wed., Nov. 21 at 6 p.m.  and reopen Sat., Nov. 24 at 10 a.m.

Currently on display in the main reading room: Books recently donated by the Friends of the Library in memory of Maurice Fredericks and in memory of Charlotte Pedersen.

Adult Programs

Master Gardeners: Rainwater Conservation - A Beautiful Way to Save Water in the Garden. Sat., Nov. 17, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The last of four Fall 2018 workshops at the Rohnert Park-Cotati Library. 

Book Discussion Group  Tues., Nov. 20, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. New members are welcome. Books are available at the adult information desk 

Children and Teen Programs

Family Movie.  Mon., Nov. 19, 2 - 4 p.m. “After ruining his reputation with the town, a courageous chicken must come to the rescue of his fellow citizens when aliens start an invasion” ( Rated G, 1 hour, 21 min. Popcorn served!

Get Your Game on with Rolling Video Games! (ages 7 and up). Sat., Nov. 24, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Play video games for free at our special gaming truck event. Celebrating International Games Week and the launch of our new Video Game Collection! Try new games! Bring your family! Challenge your friends! Show off your mad skillz!

BiblioBop Dance Party (ages 0 to 6). Tues., Nov. 20, 10:30 - 11 a.m. Calling all children who want to sing, dance and play! Get those wiggles out and show us your dance moves!

First Chapters: Read-Along Book Club (grades 1-3). Tues., Nov. 20, 4:30 - 5 p.m. A read-in-the-round book club of beginning chapter books. Registration required as books are limited.  

Storytime All Day! Wed. Nov. 21, 10:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. In honor of Nov. being Picture Book Month, librarians will be reading their favorite picture books every hour on the half-hour, 10:30 until 5:30 p.m. Join us in the children’s picture book area to hear our favorites!

Zumba for Kids (ages 5 & up). Fri., Nov. 16, 4 - 4:45 p.m. Dance and exercise.  Wear comfy clothes to move in and shoes for exercising.  

Weekly Storytimes—Preschool Storytimes (ages 3-6) Fri. at 10:30 a.m. Toddler Storytimes (ages 18 months-3 years), Tues. at 10:30 a.m. Babytimes (ages 0-18 months), Thurs. at 10:30 a.m.

Homework Help on Tuesdays 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Homework assistance is provided for grades K-12. 

Read to a Dog – Wed., 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. all year round.
