NCS Playoff Championship recap

  • Sophomore Rik Van Hoorn beat Credo?s Jonah Gotlieb, and Gabo Pimentel to the ball and managed to tap it over the keepers head late in the second half to win the game 1-0, which marked the first time the Technology High boys team won a playoff game.

Tech High and Credo Boys Soccer Teams faceoff in the NCS Championships

Technology High Boys Soccer, coached by Fatima Worden, did very well in their first year as part of the Coastal Mountain Conference at 9-9-4 Overall, 3-8-4 League, competing into the quarterfinals of the North Coast Section Division II Championships. Tech won their match against Credo (5-9 Overall, 4-8 League) who, led by coach Matt Smith, was also enjoying a great run in only their second year in the Coastal Mountain Conference. Tech then went on to face the very tough Head-Royce team (18-1 Overall, 10-0 League) in the quarterfinals who ended Tech’s season with a score of 7-0. 


Technology High Girls Soccer gets to the Semifinals in the NCS Championships

Tech High Girls Soccer and coach Melissa Knoll entered the Division I playoffs at 18-4 Overall, 14-2 League. They played and won the First Round against Willits (3-11-1 Overall, 3-7-1 League) to move on to the Quarterfinals where they beat Middletown (17-4-2 Overall, 12-1 League) with a score of 5-1. Technology then faced Eureka (19-2-1 Overall, 13-1 League) in the Semifinals where they lost the match 6-3.
