|SR’s Sixth Street Playhouse offers theatre classes
The 6th Street Playhouse School of Drama has announced the inaugural session of an array of theatre classes for all ages and all levels of experience. As the only North Bay theatre committed to offering a full spectrum educational curriculum, the 6th Street Playhouse School of Drama benefits the community through diverse classes that support the fundamental aspects of a healthy society: connection, discovery, expression, and voice.
Classes this fall include everything from playful fun for toddlers and caregivers (“Creative Movers,” “Fairy Tale Theatre”), to college audition preparation for older teens (“Rock the College Audition”) and offerings for seniors (“Musical Theatre Fitness”, “Solo Performance: The Monologue for Seniors”).
Anyone interested in finding out more about the upcoming classes is invited to an open house on Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 6-7:30 p.m., and Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 10-11:30 a.m., in the 6th Street Playhouse Studio Theatre. Participants will have the opportunity to meet some of the instructors and join in activities that will provide a preview of class offerings. Fall classes begin in late August and continue through November or December.
