All Sonoma County Library branches will be closed on Saturday, Aug. 30, in observation of Labor Day.


Adult programs

Our book discussion group meets next on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., discussing “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks”  by Rebecca Skloot. Copies of the book are available at the library information desk. 


Basic library Internet

Learn to use the library catalog and databases on Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 10-11 a.m. Sign up in advance, as space is limited to four people. Sign up in person at the reference/information desk or call 584-9121 ext. 0920.


Children’s programs

Read to a Dog

The Read to a Dog reading program takes place each Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m.  and each Saturday from 2-3 p.m. Come sign up that afternoon to read to an appreciative dog. 

Rubber Ducky Club

A reading club for parents and their young children ages 0-60 months old. Signups begin Sept. 2, and children will receive a rubber ducky and a free book in the month of September by completing early literacy activities.


Weekly Storytime for Preschoolers

Storytimes begin again in September. Babytime Storytime for ages 0-17 months will be on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m., beginning Sept. 4 (no storytime Oct. 2). Toddler Storytime for ages 18-35 months will be on Thursday mornings at 11 a.m., beginning Sept. 4 (no storytime Oct. 2). 

Preschool Storytime for ages 3-5 will be on Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m., beginning Sept. 5 (no storytime on Oct. 3).
