SRJC’s Weatherly tabbed 4CS president-elect

Debbie Weatherly, Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) Account Specialist and two-term SRJC Classified Senate president, was recently selected the new President-elect of the California Community Colleges Classified Senate (4CS) by voting members. 

Weatherly is also a board member of the Community College League of California, a 4CS affiliate, and will represent community college classified employees from across the state.

The 4CS is a non-profit organization formed by the California Community College's classified staff that operates as the statewide Classified Senate, and consists of volunteer members from Classified Senates and councils throughout California. Weatherly will help lead an organization that supports, coordinates and encourages thousands of classified staff in the California Community College system through their development and support of local senates, advocating increased involvement at the state level, and promoting leadership skills among classified staff.

As President-elect, Weatherly’s four-year commitment will also entail of co-chairing the Classified Leadership Institute conference held in June. At the annual conference, Weatherly will help lead 4CS’s annual business meeting, swearing in of new officers, and discussions and actions on various statewide items.
