The NorCal Impact is an all-star youth softball team comprised mainly of members from the Rohnert Park and Cotati area.  From July 28-Aug. 3, they will be competing in the 16-and-under division against 141 of the nation’s best teams in Salem, Va..

They’ll be representing not just the local community, but also Northern California in the American Softball Association’s Girls’ Class A Fastpitch National Championship.

The Impact created this opportunity by defeating rival NorCal Elite, making the Impact Champions of their division.  Separating this team from all others however, is the perseverance they demonstrate off the field, achieving an academic GPA of 3.9.

This mental edge, coupled with prior experience at the Junior Olympic level, gives these student-athletes a promising chance to bring home the title.

The Impact has benefitted heavily from the hard work and dedication of manager Chris Hall, along with coaches Billy Silacci and Craig Scardina.

The confidence and enthusiasm gained from the Impacts’ victory has quickly been channeled into preparation for the task that lies ahead of them.

For the majority of the team, it will be the most competitive tournament in which they’ll play to date.

Monday, at the Moyer Sports Complex in Salem, the Impact will be facing teams from as far away as Ohio, Florida and Oklahoma.  Donations to the Impact will be appreciated.

Send donations to NorCal Impact, 466 Primero Ct. Suite B , Cotati, CA 94931.
