Sonoma County movie fans and pet lovers should mark their calendars for Saturday, July 12 because it’s time for the 14th annual “Pet Premiere: Pet Adoption and Wellness” event at Santa Rosa Entertainment Group’s Airport Stadium 12 at 409 Airport Blvd. in Santa Rosa.

This year’s event features free screenings of six classic family friendly films: “Babe,” “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971 version with Gene Wilder),” “The Goonies,” “Cats & Dogs,” “Frozen” and “Beethoven.”

“The Pet Premiere event perfectly showcases a community coming together for a great cause,” says Neil Perlmutter, Vice President of Santa Rosa Entertainment Group. “There are so many deserving animals in shelters that desperately need homes. It’s truly inspiring to see the efforts of our local shelters, volunteers, and businesses. It is very important to us to highlight and support that work.  We look forward to another great year.”

The event is organized by Sonoma County Animal Services, hosted by Santa Rosa Entertainment Group, and sponsored by Platinum Chevrolet of Santa Rosa. In addition, Warner Brothers, Universal Pictures, and Disney have donated the rights to screen their films for this event.

Dozens of adorable adoptable animals from shelters and rescue organizations in Sonoma County will be available to loving homes during Pet Premiere. Everyone who adopts an animal at the event receives a pair of passes to any Santa Rosa Entertainment Group movie theater. Plus, there is a silent auction, the proceeds from which benefit Sonoma County Animal Services.
