Racing fans can watch and wager live during the fair, which begins Friday, July 25, and on Wednesdays through Sundays thereafter during the run of the fair.

The fair dates are July 24-Aug. 10, and there is no racing on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Race post time on Fridays is 3:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. on other race days. Reserved seating prices start at $3 each in the grandstands and $5 in the box seat area.

Those looking for something a little bit more luxurious can use the trackside and paddock view dining options.

Tables for four for trackside dining are offered Wednesdays and Thursdays for $50 and Fridays through Sundays for $70. Overlooking the paddock, fans are invited to catch the post parade without ever leaving their seats.

Paddock view dining accommodates up to 26 fans. The price is $500 and includes fair admission and race programs.

Leading trainers from Golden Gate Fields will return with their top runners competing for more than $350,000 in stakes race purses scheduled this year. The fair also welcomes back the Wine Country Debutante stakes race for 2-year-old fillies, which will run Friday, Aug. 8. Expect to see top riders that include Dennis Car, Frank Alvarado and Russell Baze vie for first place during 13 days of racing.

Free racing seminars are offered each race day in Shade Park just outside the race track at 1:30 p.m. on Fridays and at 11:30 a.m. on other race days.  These seminars feature an impressive line-up of knowledgeable guest hosts who will share their experience and tips to help pick that winning horse.

The popular Derby Dog Dash is held every Sunday on the track in between horse races. Open to all small dog breeds and mixes, this event is a true delight. With multiple heats culminating in a championship race, and a $100 grand prize, there’s no shortage of enthusiasm or laughter. Learn more and enter your dog at
