If the weather’s heating up, then it means the fourth annual Hot Rods and BBQ in Penngrove is approaching. More than 200 cars will be on display July 26 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Penngrove Park, located at 11800 Main St., Penngrove.

The Penngrove Social Firemen will be cooking up a chicken barbecue.

Anyone with a hot rod from 1974 or earlier is encouraged to bring it to the park. There is no entry fee and no judging of cars. There’ll simply be fun for the family and music will be provided by Charley Baker.

There will be games, beverages and a $100 door prize drawn from adult tickets. Someone might win a 1952 custom gas pump in a special raffle, with second prize being $250 and third prize $100.

Tickets are $15 general admission and $5 for kids ages 12 and under. No dogs will be admitted into the park.

Advance tickets are available at JavAmore Café, 10101 Main St. in Penngrove, or by calling or John Rossi at (707) 981-7765. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Proceeds support Penngrove Park.
