The Family Justice Center Sonoma County has been awarded $70,000 by the John Jordan Foundation to allow for the continuation of a broad array of family violence services.

Working in the arena of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and elder abuse, the Family Justice Center has provided services to more than 2,500 individuals since opening the doors in 2011, including almost 1,400 clients in 2013.

“The funding provided by the John Jordan Foundation will allow us to continue providing services to the victims of violence who come through our doors every day,” Executive director Wes Winter said.

The John Jordan Foundation focuses its efforts on active philanthropy, especially locally, to impact programs and enhance peoples’ lives.

“I am pleased to support an effort to mend the broken lives of our fellow citizens.  It is the people who work in the trenches day after day, helping people who hurt, that make our community what it is” says John Jordan.

The Family Justice Center Sonoma County looks to empower family violence victims to live free from violence and abuse by providing comprehensive services, centered on and around the victim.
