Santa Rosa Symphony’s conductor laureate, Jeffrey Kahane, and current music director/conductor Bruno Ferrandis will collaborate to present a benefit concert on Thursday, May 22, at 7 p.m. in Weill Hall at the Green Music Center on the campus of Sonoma State University.

Kahane performs Beethoven’s “Piano Concerto No. 3” and Chopin’s “Piano Concerto No. 2” in the symphony’s major fundraiser of the year.

“It is always a joy and privilege for me to come back to work with my dear friends at SRS, to work with my wonderful and distinguished colleague Bruno Ferrandis, and to play for my ‘hometown’ audience,” Kahane said.

Concert tickets are $50, $75 and $125. An enhanced concert package for $250 per person ($200 tax deductible donation) includes a concert after-party in Prelude Restaurant with entertainment by Local Honey Swing Band. The party includes heavy appetizers, wine and champagne, a no-host bar, coffee and desserts.  The concert-and-party package is limited to 150.  Tickets are available by phone at (707) 546-8742 or may be purchased online at
