Heart 8 great for those suffering from general anxiety and calms spirit

This point, known to Acupuncturists as Heart 8, is located on the palm of the hand where the tip of the pinky finger rests if making a loose fist. It is excellent for calming anxiety and soothing emotional upset. In Acupuncture theory, if the Heart Meridian becomes agitated by emotional stress, anxiety/panic can arise along with a host of related symptoms like shortness of breath, palpitations, flushed face and neck and so on. This point cools heat, calms the spirit and nourishes the Heart Meridian. This point is great for people who suffer from generalized anxiety.

Step one: Locate the point Heart 8 on your palm. The correct point will likely feel a little tender when using a firm touch. 

Step two: Using your thumb or index finger, press and hold the pressure for 10 seconds. Repeat several times per hour, or until symptoms lessen.
