|History’s on Tech High’s side
Technology High, of Rohnert Park, sent a team of four students – (from left) Sergio Ramirez, William Sirisouk, Ben Griesser and Naim Ayat – to the National History Day Competition at the Riverside Convention Center on April 26. The competition is an annual academic event that takes place at all high schools each year. Participants must compete and win first at the local high school level, then at the county level before they move on to the state championship level. The Technology High team not only competed at the state championship but also got selected as the only team finalist representing Sonoma County for producing a 10-minute video documentary titled “The Cuban Missile Crisis.” The team, whose history teachers are Matt Zwinge and Emilie King, placed fourth.
