The bimonthly meeting of the Library Advisory Board is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, at 4 p.m. in the library conference room. The public is welcome to attend this meeting; the opportunity to address the Board with comments on matters affecting public library service is included in the meeting’s agenda.


Adult programs

Our book discussion group meets next on Tuesday, April 15, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., discussing “The Age of Miracles” by Karen Thompson Walker. Copies of the book are available at the library information desk. 


Basic library Internet

Learn to use the library catalog and databases on Tuesday, April 28, from 10-11 a.m. Sign up in advance, as space is limited to four people. You can sign up in person at the Reference/Information desk or call 584-9121 ext. 0920.


Children’s programs

Morning Storytimes: Babytime Storytimes for children ages 0-17 months are on Thursdays at 10 a.m.; Wiggle Time Storytimes for toddlers ages 18-35 months are on Thursdays at 11 a.m.; and Preschool Storytime for children ages 3-5 are on Fridays at 10:30 a.m.


Saturday Storytime with Pam Brown

The next storytime with Pam Brown for ages 2-6 is April 19 at 11 a.m. Crafts and stories are around the theme of “Sheepish Delights.”

Family Evening Storytime

The next evening storytime for ages 2 and up is on Wednesday, April 23, at 5:30 p.m. Wear pajamas and bring teddy bears if you like.


The Surfing Magician (Doug Hofkins)

Magic and illusions to delight and amaze the whole family (for ages 3 and up) take place on Saturday, April 12, at 11 a.m.


Read to a dog

The Read to a Dog reading program takes place each Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m.,  and each Saturday from 2-3 p.m. Come sign up that afternoon to read to an appreciative dog. 


Dia del Los Ninos April 30

Come read to a dog from 3:30–4:30 p.m. or from 6-7 p.m. Get a free book for reading to a dog!


Program for Teens

Teen Comedy Improv presented by Bridget Palmer. Learn all the fundamentals of improvisation. Develop your creativity and make new friends on Friday, April 11, 4 p.m. This event is free and for ages 12-18. 

Beginners are welcome and no experience is required.
