A fundraiser for Project Graduation takes place on Saturday, March 8, in the multi-purpose room at Rancho Cotate High School at 6 p.m.

Project Graduation is an all-night alcohol, drug and tobacco-free party on graduation night for students from Rancho Cotate High School (RCHS), Technology High School, and El Camino/Phoenix High School. In 2015, the first graduating class from Credo High School will be joining.

Project Graduation provides a safe and fun environment for students to celebrate their graduation from high school. There are many different things going on in the evening to keep the kids entertained, such as carnival games, casino, beauty room, hypnotist, food, prizes and much, much more. To see what this event encompasses, visit the website at

Since Project Graduation has been around, there have been no deaths of students on graduation night. It takes a lot of volunteers and money to put this event on, and with the recent economy, raising funds for the event has been difficult.

We are very excited to have the Advanced Drama class, the Rancho Media House (ROP) Media class and the Credo Band working with us on this fundraiser.

The Advanced Drama Class, the Rancho Media House Media class and the Credo Band has been working on the fundraiser, which is a murder mystery dinner titled “Murder In the Air.”  The mystery dinner is set in an airplane hangar.

The $35 ticket price includes a three-course dinner with the choice of tri-tip or pesto chicken.
