Piranhas swim well in three meets

Piranha swimmers have been busy the last several weeks, traveling from Santa Rosa zone championships to Napa and Santa Clara for a Senior meet. 

In Santa Rosa, Sena Erickson achieved new best times in all five events that she swam, Katie Honey achieved new best times in both the 100- and 200-yard individual medley, Alexis Lewis achieved new best times in three events and a Pacific recognized A time in the 100-yard backstroke, Haley Woodcox achieved three new best times and picked up a new Junior Olympic time in her 50-yard freestyle, Justin Wong achieved four new best times, and Cayla Whetstone achieved a new Junior Olympic time standard in the 50-yard freestyle,  

In Napa, Taylor Whetstone achieved a new best time, Katie Honey achieved two new best times, Jaden Wachter achieved six new best times, including three Pacific Swimming recognized B times and her very first A time in the 50-yard breaststroke, Travis Devries achieved new best times in all eight events that he swam, and Derek Honey achieved 2 new best times.

In Santa Clara, Melissa Adams achieved two new best times, Cayla Whetstone also achieved two new best times, Brigette Eagar achieved a new A time in the 50-yard freestyle and a new best in the 100-yard breaststroke, Jeffrey Devries achieved five new best times and picked up a new Junior Olympic time in his 1,000-yard freestyle, Aric Lang achieved two new best times, including a new Far Western time in his 200-yard backstroke, and Ian McKenzie achieved five new best times, including a new A time in his 100-yard backstroke.

On Thursday, Feb. 13, the Piranhas are heading to a championship meet in Chandler, Ariz.
