Book sale

Non-fiction and fiction, mysteries and sci-fi, children’s books, sets of books, VHSs, CDs, tapes and books on tape will be available at the library’s book sale on Feb. 7-8. 

The sale takes place in the library meeting room on Friday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. From 1:30-3:30 p.m. each day, a bag of books costs $5 and individual books are half price.


Advisory board meeting

The bimonthly meeting of the Library Advisory Board is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 4 p.m., in the library conference room. The public is welcome to attend this meeting; the opportunity to address the Board with comments on matters affecting public library service is included in the meeting’s agenda.


Adult programs

Our book discussion group meets next on Tuesday, Feb. 18, discussing “God's Hotel: A Doctor, a Hospital, and a Pilgrimage to the Heart of Medicine” by Victoria Sweet. Copies of the book are available at the library information desk. 


Basic library Internet

Learn to use the library catalog and databases on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 10-11 a.m. Sign up in advance, as space is limited to four people.

Children’s programs

Morning storytimes: Babytime Storytimes for children ages 0-17 months are on Thursdays at 10 a.m.; Wiggle Time Storytimes for toddlers ages 18-35 months are on Thursdays at 11 a.m. (no programs on Feb. 6); and Pre-school Storytime for children ages 3-5 are on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. (no program on Feb. 7). 


Valentine drop-in craft

Come in anytime during the week of Feb. 4-8 to make a valentine craft. All ages invited.


Winter movie night

Movie night in February is on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m. 

The movie is about Mr. Magorium’s magical toy emporium and is rated G. Popcorn is provided.


Lego Club

The next Lego Club for children age 6-12 will be on Tuesday, Feb. 18. All Legos are provided.


Saturday Storytime with Pam Brown

The next storytime with Pam Brown for ages 2-6 will be Saturday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. 

Crafts and stories are around the theme of “Under the Sea.”


Read to a Dog

The Read to a Dog reading program takes place each Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m.,  and each Saturday from 2-3 p.m. Come sign up that afternoon to read to an appreciative dog! 


Program for teens

Teen Mask Making on Friday, Feb. 28 at 3:30 p.m. Birds, feathers, craft paper and ribbons are just a few of the supplies teens will have to decorate a Mardi Gras mask. Come in or call to register for the program.
