Two Santa Rosa men nabbed for robbery in casino parking lot
Two Santa Rosa men on Dec. 27 were arrested in connection with the assault and robbery of an elderly man in the parking lot of the Graton Resort and Casino in Rohnert Park.
The assault and robbery reportedly occurred early in the morning on Dec. 24, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. According to a Sheriff’s Office report, detectives from the Violent Crimes Investigations Division located and arrested 21-year-old Ricardo Davalos and 20-year-old Devante Raushad Love.
Davalos was arrested in the Roseland area during a coordinated traffic enforcement stop after Sheriff’s detectives had gathered information that he was traveling as a passenger in the vehicle. Love was arrested at the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Main Adult Detention Facility after investigators had made contact with him and arranged for him to turn himself in.
Both were booked into Sonoma County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and robbery.
As of Jan. 1, both remained in custody and are being held on $250,000 bail. Both are awaiting arraignment.
The report also stated the casino security staff was instrumental in the identification of both suspects.
The victim was struck in the head by an unknown weapon and robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash and property, according to the Sheriff’s report. The victim was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa with severe head trauma. The name of the victim is being held upon request.
