Officers from the Rohnert Park Dept. of Public Safety on Dec. 6 arrested a Richmond man on a number of charges, including possession of a controlled substance.

According to the RPDPS report, shortly before 9 p.m., an officer patrolling the area of Commerce Boulevard and Golf Course Drive observed a Chevrolet Camaro making an unsafe lane change without signaling.

The officer stopped the vehicle for the code violation and contacted the driver, 28-year-old Jesus Partida-Cadenas. A records check showed Partida-Cadenas was driving on a suspended or revoked driver’s license.

The check also showed he had an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant out of Marin County.

He was arrested for the outstanding warrant and on suspicion of driving on a suspended or revoked license. During a search of Partida-Cadenas’ person, the officer located a small amount of cocaine wrapped in a dollar bill, which was concealed in his sock. Partida-Cadenas admitted to the officer the substance was in fact cocaine.

He was booked into Sonoma County Jail on his outstanding warrant, suspicion of driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license and being in possession of a controlled substance.

Partida-Cadenas was due in Sonoma County Superior court on Thursday, Dec. 12.
