Adult programs

Master Gardener Sandy Metzger will host a workshop on Trash to Treasures Garden Art, Saturday Dec. 7 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This is a free event in the Meeting Room of the Rohnert Park-Cotati Regional Library. 

• Our book discussion group meets next in January. Books will be available for pickup in mid-December. 

Basic library Internet

Learn to use the library catalog and databases on Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 10-11 a.m. Sign up in advance, as space is limited to four people. You can sign up in person at the reference/information desk or call 584-9121 ext. 0920.

Children’s programs

Morning storytimes: Babytime Storytimes for children ages 0-17 months are on Thursdays at 10 a.m.; Wiggle Time Storytimes for toddlers ages 18-35 months are on Thursdays at 11 a.m.; and Preschool Storytimes for children ages 3-5 are Fridays at 10:30 a.m. No Storytimes on November 28-29. 

Lego Club

Lego Club for ages 6-12 is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 4 p.m. Come and build with Legos – all Legos are provided.


Movie night

Movie night on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 5:30 p.m. Playing this month is a special holiday movie about a Rudolph and his red nose. Popcorn will be provided.

Pam Brown Saturday Storytime

The next Saturday storytime for ages 2-6 with stories and a craft will be on Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. This program is all about “Penguins on Parade.”

Elephant and Piggie Show

Local actors will present shows based on the children’s books by Mo Willems on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m.

Once Upon a Gingerbread House

Children 4 and up can make their own special gingerbread house creations on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 10-11:30 a.m.

Read to a dog

The Read to a Dog reading program takes place each Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m.  and each Saturday from 2-3 p.m. Come sign up that afternoon to read to an appreciative dog. 

Teens only

Brian Kolm will teach a cartooning workshop for ages 12-18 on Friday, Dec. 13 at 3:30 p.m. Teens must call or come in to pre-register for the workshop.
