The Sonoma State University School of Education's third annual Teacher Technology Showcase will take place Thursday, Dec. 5 from 5-7 p.m. in The Cooperage.

The Showcase is fast becoming the premiere educational technology event in the North Bay, says organizer Jessica Parker.

“Last year, there were 150 people in attendance and 26 presentations from both pre- and in-service educators.

This year, we expect 250 local educators, administrators, and community members to attend to see 40 presentations from pre- and in-service teachers and administrators," she said.

This year's Showcase is focused on student learning and will be packed with presentations, a hands-on Maker Space, and a Technology Sandbox to try out the latest tech tools for the classroom.

There will also be food and giveaways throughout the evening. Partners include Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) and KQED for this year's event.
