Piranhas swimmers do well at latest meet

Despite a power outage that almost led to having to cancel the swim meet at H Pool, members of the Rohnert Park Piranhas swim team rose to the occasion and went home with new records and best times.

Taylor Whetstone came home with a new Piranha record in the 100 yard backstroke for girls 6 and under. 

Girls 8 and under Alexis Lewis achieved three new Piranha records for girls 8 and under in the 1,000 yard freestyle, the 1,650 yard freestyle, and she also broke the girls 10 and under record in this event. 

Boys 10 and under swimmer Justin Wong broke the record in the 200 yard butterfly, while girls 10 and under swimmer Katie Honey went home with the 200 yard butterfly record.

Many new best times were achieved by several Piranhas including Emily Bates, Haley Woodcox, Melissa Adams, Kylie Nelson, Jaden Wachter, Cayla Whetstone, Kelsey Vella, Miron English, Michael Duffy, Derek Honey, Travis Devries, Mikey Lewis, Kazimir Schifrin, Jayson Shinn, Kenneth Shinn, Ian McKenzie, Jon Wheeldin, Sean Restivo and Aric Lang.
