Reverend Samuel Tharpe, center, is getting ready for the 25th annual Thanksgiving dinner to be served at the Rohnert Park Senior Center between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Nov. 28. The public, especially those down on their luck or in need, is invited for the free meal. Meals can be delivered to shut-ins or others who are unable to make it to the Senior Center. Anyone wishing to make a monetary contribution can do so by sending it to P.O. Box 127, Cotati, CA, 94931. Make checks payable to Rev. Samuel Tharpe. Also, volunteers are needed, particularly on the evening of Nov. 27, to carve turkeys. Those who volunteer must bring their own knives. For more information on delivery or to volunteer, call (707) 795-8612. Pictured are Scott Roberts of Shari’s Restaurant, where the turkeys will be cooked, Rev. Tharpe and longtime volunteer Patty Minnis of Cotati Jewelers.
