Rohnert Park’s planning department has issued a “Courtesy Road Construction Notice” concerning the Eastside Trunk Sewer Replacement Project Phase II. Its major feature is a map of the project’s route, for a map wasn’t included in the original staff reports. A previous article in The Community Voice assumed the pipeline would use RP Expressway east to Snyder Lane, but this is not the actual route. Here’s an update:

The work by Ghilotti Construction starts at the corner of Commerce Boulevard and Avram Avenue, continues east on Avram until it meets Santa Alicia Drive, then it’s east on Santa Alicia to Seed Farm Drive. Here, it turns south until it meets Southwest Boulevard, then it tunnels beneath the SMART commute tracks and continues east on Southwest until it meets Snyder Lane. Here the pipeline turns south to connect with the sewer lines at Snyder Lane and East Cotati Avenue.

The courtesy notice says, “You can expect temporary roadway lane changes or reductions and potential noise impacts this winter and it will continue into spring and summer of 2014. Driveway access and two-way traffic will be maintained.”

The city expects completion sometime in “late 2014.” They also have a “hotline” set up to answer queries. The number is 540-9955.
