|Connett to talk about fluoride issue Oct. 21
Dr. Paul Connett will return to Santa Rosa on Monday, Oct. 21, to speak further about water fluoridation.
Connett, a chemist and toxicologist, has consulted on fluoridation issues and has worked to stop public water fluoridation throughout the United States, Europe and Asia for the past 17 years.
He will be taking questions from audience members.
The fluoridation of water in Sonoma County is sure to be a controversial and divisive issue next year and the County Board of Supervisors is expected to vote on whether or not to fluoridate the county’s water supply.
Connett and his wife, Ellen, are the founders and directors of Fluoride Action Network, a coalition of citizens and scientists from 14 countries who work to end fluoridation through informed debate.
Connett also is executive director of the American Environmental Health Studies Project and the author of “50 Reasons to Oppose Fluoridation” and “The Case Against Fluoride: How Hazardous Waste Ended Up In Our Drinking Water.”
This event, sponsored by Clean Water Sonoma-Marin, will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Glaser Center at 547 Mendocino Ave. in Santa Rosa. Admission is free.
