Historic race cars are at Sonoma Raceway this weekend for the 10th consecutive Classic Sport Racing Group (CSRG) Charity Challenge. More than 200 cars will race over the two-day event, with marquees such as Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati, Lotus and Alfa Romeo (pictured) combining with historic Trans Am cars on the 2.5-mile road course. Racing will be Lyn St. James who competed in the Indianapolis 500 and won the rookie of the year in 1992 at Indy. Eddie Lawson, four-time World Motorcycle Champion, will also race his car in the Celebrity Challenge. The money raised through CSRG during the weekend will go to Speedway Children’s Charity in the Sonoma Valley, which has already donated more than $500,000 to Sonoma Valley causes.
