Musicians to raise money for Chris Marvin Oct. 6

Local musicians will perform at a benefit on Sunday, Oct. 6, for Chris Marvin at Sally Tomatoes, located in Sonoma Mountain Village.

All proceeds from this event will go to help offset some of the medical bills incurred by Marvin, who currrently is battling cancer.

Marvin currently is resting at his mother’s home in Santa Barbara. Marvin also is a local musician who has appeared on a Tom Waits album as a drummer.

The event runs from noon-8 p.m., and the charge of admission is $10.

Some of the performers include A Case of the Willys, the Volker Strifler Band, Levi Lloyd and the 501 Band, the Pulsators, the Sorentinos, Richie Blue, the Detroit Desciples, the Sky O’Banion Band, DFFH, Dave Carter and Friends and Michael Barclay. Plenty of other bands also have committed to perform at this benefit.

There also will be raffle prizes and a silent auction.
