Adult programs

Our book discussion group meets next on Tuesday, Sept. 17, discussing “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelley. Copies of the book are available at the library information desk. 

Basic library Internet

Learn to use the library catalog and databases on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 10-11 a.m. Sign up in advance, as space is limited to two people. You can sign up in person at the reference/information desk or call 584-9121 ext. 0920.


Children’s programs

• The next Pam Brown Saturday Storytime will be on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. This storytime and craft program for ages 2-6 will feature the theme “Zoom Zoom!” 

• The Fall Coloring Table goes all week long – Sept. 17-21 – for ages 2 and up.

• Special Thursday morning events coming up include September 12 (music with Tim Cain), Sept. 19 (The Bubble Guy) and Sept. 19 (Magical Moonshine Theatre’s “Puppy Locks and the Three Bears”), all at 11 a.m. 

• Weekly storytimes will begin the second week in October.

Special family program with Jim Weiss 

Award winning storyteller and recording artist Jim Weiss will enthrall the audience with stories from far and near. This program is for children and adults.  Don’t miss this special show on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m.

Read to a dog

The Read to a Dog reading program takes place each Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m.  and each Saturday from 2-3 p.m. Come sign up that afternoon to read to an appreciative dog.
