All branches of Sonoma County Library will be closed on Saturday, Aug. 31, in observance of Labor Day.

 

Adult programs

Our book discussion group meets next on Tuesday, Sept. 17, discussing “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelley. Copies of the book are available at the library information desk. 

 

Basic library Internet

Learn to use the library catalog and databases on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 10-11 a.m. Sign up in advance, as space is limited to two people. You can sign up in person at the reference/information desk or call 584-9121 ext. 0920.

 

Children’s programs

The next Pam Brown Saturday Storytime will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7. This storytime and craft program for ages 2-6 will feature the theme “Zoom Zoom!” 

 

• Special Thursday morning events coming up: Sept. 12 (music with Tim Cain), Sept. 19 (The Bubble Guy) and Sept. 26 (Magical Moonshine Theatre’s “Puppy Locks and the Three Bears”), all at 11 a.m.

 

Read to a dog

The Read to a Dog reading program takes place each Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and each Saturday from 2-3 p.m. Come sign up that afternoon to read to an appreciative dog.
