RP cops arrest Vallejo man for identity theft

Rohnert Park Dept. of Public Safety officers executed a search warrant and arrested a Vallejo man at his home on charges that included identity theft on Wednesday.

With assistance from inspectors from the Vallejo Police Dept. High Tech Crimes task force and Vallejo officers, Paulo Angelo Evangelista Barrameda was taken into custody. 

According to a report by the RPDPS, Barrameda allegedly gained access  to the victims’ email accounts and retrieved photographs and videos of the victims. 

He then posted the photos and videos on the Internet on several social media websites.

The victims discovered their photos on the Internet and contact the RPDPS, which then investigated the theft and unauthorized posting of their personal photos.

RPDPS officers collected computers, flash drives, hard drives and a cell phone as part of the search warrant. The RPDPS High Tech Crimes Task Force is processing the evidence.

Barrameda was transferred and booked into Sonoma County Jail on three counts of felony unauthorized use of computer data and one felony count of identity theft.
